This patient came to Oak Dermatology in Naperville, IL expressing concerns of an unsightly red patch on their skin. This patient was very self-conscious of the red spot and wanted to remove it or greatly lessen the appearance of it. Dr. Jeffrey T.S. Hsu advised the patient to undergo laser skin resurfacing treatments to improve the appearance of the red skin patch. Laser skin resurfacing treatments were suggested because they reduce the appearance of pigment and are great at specifically targeting unwanted pigment. The results were noticeable after a series of treatments. The red patch was significantly depigmented and smoothed using this procedure.
