How Nonsurgical Skin Tightening Works
Opus Plasma - This is not the “plasma pen” treatment typically seen in med spas. After the application of topical numbing cream on the face or body part being treated, your provider will begin gliding the Opus handpiece which consists of a special rolling tip. The handpiece, when lightly gliding on top of the skin, unipolar radiofrequency energy is emitted from the tiny metal pins. When the radiofrequency hits air, the pins will generate plasma. Microscopic channels are then created on the skin by the plasma. The treatment itself will take no longer than half an hour. However, your provider will advise you of the arrival time before your treatment to allow time to clean and prep the skin for treatment. Post plasma skin care and instruction will be given after the treatment.
