An esthetician uses a small razor, called a dermatome, to exfoliate the skin while also removing small, fine vellus hair. This treatment may also lighten dark areas on your skin and reduce the appearance of acne scars and dull skin. Dermaplaning can be used alone or combined with other aesthetic services.

What should I expect after Dermaplaning?

Dermaplaning clears three weeks of dead skin cells and results typically begin to fade after the three-week mark. After your treatment, you’ll need to avoid sun exposure.
